Sig Sauer Military M17 / M18 Carbided Color Coded Modification Services
The Sig Sauer M17 and M18 are the new handguns of the US Military. At Carbided we recognize that silicon carbide in its rawest form may not be aesthetically suitable for the armed professional. The high contrast between the Silicon Carbide and the Tan/ FDE color of the grip module can defeat the purpose of having a firearm colored to match operational environments, as well as the undesirable shine silicon carbide particles can create. To that end, Carbided has found a solution to be able to offer the same level of performance available to competitive shooters to the armed professional. Color coded services are now available for the Sig Sauer M17 and M18 grip module. A material that matches the color of the grip and still gives the operator the traction they need to maintain an interface on their firearm in all weather conditions. Rain, sweat and a loss of dexterity in the cold are factors that extra traction on the grip can help solve. The beauty of the modularity of the Sig Sauer M17/ M18 systems means that the issued grip module can be swapped out for a Carbided grip module and used when the operator is on duty/deployment and swapped back again when returning to the armory. The grips in no way affect the internal functionality of the firearm.
