GET A GRIP. GET CARBIDED.

Welcome to Carbided!

My name is Ed Murdoch, I emigrated to the US in 2021 from the UK, when I finished a career as a Royal Marine Commando serving 8 years with the UK’s spearhead amphibious warfare unit. I am now a full time firearms instructor at the Sig Sauer Academy in Epping, New Hampshire. Shooting and teaching has always been my passion, so I feel very blessed that I get to do both as a career!

By popular demand from my students I now run a mail-in modification service for your Grip Module. Starting originally only modifying my own firearms chasing those .15 splits! I have now opened up the service to a wider audience!

The use of textured grips is growing in the competitive shooting world which has always been the litmus test when chasing maximum performance. The ability to maintain an interface with the pistol under recoil decreases our time off target, which gives the shooter the opportunity to take advantage of a follow up sight picture faster. Bridging the gap between competition and defensive shooting has always been a topic of discussion but capitalising on any advantage the shooter can get to achieve maximum performance is an obvious benefit in any context.

The benefits to using silicon carbide to increase traction on the gun shouldn’t compromise the aesthetic appeal of your firearm, which can often take place during the modification process of any product. Hopefully you can see that I take great care when working on your firearm, not compromising on aesthetics when in the pursuit of increased functionality. I encourage you to get in touch, ask as many questions as you like about the service and what I can offer so you feel comfortable in knowing that you are receiving a quality product that has been backed by many shooters of all levels!

I look forward to working with you!

Happy Blasting!
